My son Carlo Schaper (20 years) has suddenly passed away on Monday. Whether this belongs here, I also do not know exactly. But I have two motives. First Carlo with many young track and field athletes is known and connected friendly and I can inform not everything individually. Furthermore the death stands probably in connection with an illness history which could serve as a warning. After several grippalen infections in winter and absolutely always relatively of long training break Carlo in March got a pneumonia. Again it was built up very warily by his coach Andreas Flasskamp and me as his pole vault coach. Although a vielversprechnder long sprinter (400 ms at the age of 19 years in 47.47) was carried out the whole winter and till this day no interval training. After several medical checks the doctors gave green light and Carlo got into a very moderate short sprint training (at the end of June) and ran at the middle of July 100 ms of test only 0.2sec for his best time. He looked good and had recovered. Indeed, did ers to itself certain worries because he had spoken with known sportsmen who got inflammations in the heart muscle after a strong influenza. He himself pointed to certain sporadic pressure feelings. During the day, therefore, he still went of his death to a specialist more exactly to clarify this. Also this gave green light and was confirmed by the later autopsy. Still no tip to any organic damage is found up to now. In the evening he did with his coach a moderate sprint training (start) went off from a dog attacked and felt darufhin. Without informing his coach, he went nachhaus and put on his pulse knife. Fluctuating values between 140 to 210 let him call his friend in Hamburg and his parents on Majorca vacation who urgently advised him to call the emergency doctor. He did not manage this and he died. Please, since very carefully and waits long after an illness!!!!
