Georgia State Troopers say the teens were driving down Midway Road around 8:30 Friday night. The driver lost control, went off the roadway, and struck a tree.

Eighteen-year-old Clay Anthony, the front passenger was killed.

Sixteen-year-old Brooke Guerrero was airlifted to a Tallahassee hospital with serious injuries. The driver, 18-year-old Brittany Guerrero, as well as 18-year-old Jeffery Johnson, and Jerusha Reddick were treated at Grady General Hospital and released.

"Based on the roadway evidence the vehicle lost control on the roadway started yawing, and traveled off the south shoulder of the roadway, so she was obviously out of control when she left the road," said Corporal John VanLandingham with Georgia State Patrol.

Troopers say blood alcohol tests indicate that Anthony was intoxicated when he died, but the driver, Guerrero was not. The Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team from Valdosta is investigating the crash.
