A 21-year-old Lodi woman was killed early Friday morning when her car crashed into a tree in Chatham Township.

According to the state highway patrol, Cassandra Harvey was travelling on state Route 83 when her vehicle went off the road, striking a ditch and a boulder before hitting a tree.

Harvey was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said she was wearing a seat belt, and it is unknown if alcohol played a factor.

The crash remains under investigation.
