A change of plea in a manslaughter case has been delayed two weeks because of the retirement of Assistant District Attorney Jeff O'Bryant.

David Flaherty, 27, has been charged with one count each of manslaughter and driving under the influence.

Authorities say Flaherty was under the influence late one night in June 2006 when the car he was driving rolled into a ditch on the Parks Highway near Cantwell. The accident claimed the life of his passenger, 25-year-old Ian McCarthy. The hearing has been rescheduled for the afternoon of May 8.
