Anthony Gerike has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for driving while intoxicated and without a license and slamming his car into a group of bicyclists on New Haven Road.
At Thursday's hearing, Gerike apologized to the victims' families and asked for their forgiveness.
Besides being sentenced to 16 years, Gerike has been ordered to pay for the funeral costs of the two victims.

The man charged with killing two bicyclists in Crosby Township last July will learn his sentence on Thursday.
Police say Anthony Gerike was intoxicated and driving without a license when he slammed his car into a group of bicyclists on New Haven Road.
Terry Walker and Amy Gehring died at the scene.
