A San Marcos teenager was pronounced dead at the scene of a three-vehicle accident last Friday. Two others remained hospitalized as of Monday, authorities said.

Samantha Ibarra, 18, died in the crash that occurred around 8 p.m. The DPS in San Antonio said she was driving a 2000 Buick Park Avenue and was stopped on northbound Hwy. 123 waiting to make a left turn onto Ridge Road when she was rear-ended by a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by 24-year-old Ryan Perez of Premont.

The force of the impact sent Ibarra's vehicle into south bound lanes where it was struck on the passenger side by a 2005 Chevrolet dump truck driven by Shelton Goldfind, 44, of Fort Worth.

Perez and Goldfind were taken to Central Texas Medical Center where both were said to be in stable condition.

The crash was about 4.8 miles south of the San Marcos city limits.
