Titus "Tito" Meads, 24, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, in a car wreck.

Visitation was Friday and will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at St. Mark Baptist Church in Labadieville. Services are noon today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Lillie Meads; four brothers, Courtaney Sawyer of Thibodaux, Jerome Meads of Labadieville, and John and Robert Meads Jr. of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Shelly Meads of Labadieville, Alicia Meads of Gray, and Chanda Meads of Houma; maternal grandparents, Sam and Flora Bell Sawyer of Labadieville; paternal grandmother, Margaret Banks of Labadieville; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Denver Meads; one sister, Brittany Meads; one aunt, Beverly Coleman; and his godfather, Jerome Sawyer.

He attended Nicholls State University and worked at Wal-Mart in Thibodaux.
