Michelle Lee Minteer, 23, of Portage for the last several years, formerly of New Kensington, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born Oct. 20, 1986, in Fairfax County, Va., a daughter of Kenneth and Tammy Marts Minteer. Michelle was a graduate of Lenape Vo-Tech in Ford City and received her certificate in Cosmetology. Her friends from Portage were a huge part of her life and her son, David, was her whole life. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Marts Jr. Michelle is survived by her son, David Engleka Jr., of Portage; mother, Tammy Marts, of New Kensington; father, Kenneth Minteer, of Ford City; stepfather, Kevin Chizer, of New Kensington; two sisters, Lisa and Kimberly Minteer; two brothers, Michael Chizer and Kenneth Minteer; stepsister, Christy Chizer; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Marts, of Arizona; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Minteer, of Ford City; paternal grandparents, Orville and Ida Minteer, of Ford City; two stepnephews, Tyrek and Curtis; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 1051 Girty Road, Shelocta, PA 15774, where a service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers, Pastor of Mt.
