Kellen Kaye King Kellen died on February 6, 2010 in Morehead Kentucky from a heart attack. A beloved Son, Brother, Friend and Army Veteran who will be missed forever by all that know him. Kellen grew up in Fieldbrook and attended elementary and high school in Arcata. In high school he wrestled for 2 years, and played football for 4 years. He was a team captain his Sophomore and Senior year. In high school he also discovered girls and cars, which continued to be a joy and a challenge throughout his life. He was very mechanical and served his country as both a mechanic and 50 mm machine gunner in Iraq. Kellen has many friends and he loved them and his family fiercely. We will love you forever, mom, dad, and Gabe. Kellen is survived by his Parents Gale and Karen King and his brother Gabriel. Kellen is preceded in death by his Grandmother Edna Banducci, Grandfather William Banducci, Grandfather Donald W. King and Uncle Donald D. King. A visitation will be held at Paul's Chapel in Arcata on Saturday February 13, 2010 from 9 to 10:45 AM. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in McKinleyville, California at 12 noon. The Service will be officiated by Kevin Hamblen. Kellen will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, Arcata, California. Casket Bearers are John Grondalski, Gabriel King, Mick Jones, Keith Richardson, Steve DiMarino, Matt Howes, Jerrett Smith, and Ray Blair. Honorary Bearers are Adam Timek, Keith Dixon, James Byum and Ron Banducci Memorial contributions can be made to the local Veterans Office in Eureka, in lieu of flowers.
