A Baltimore woman was killed Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle collision in Fulton, according to Howard County police.
Jasmine Ann Brisson, 30, was driving a Dodge Neon west on Scaggsville Road, police said. As she was waiting to turn left onto Fulton Estates Court, her vehicle was struck from behind by a Ford Excursion, pushing the Neon into the eastbound lane, where it was struck by a Dodge Grand Caravan, according to police. The accident occurred about 7:55 a.m.
Brisson was taken to Howard County General Hospital and later pronounced dead. The Grand Caravan driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The collision was still under investigation, but based on preliminary information spokeswoman Elizabeth Schroen said the crash appears to have been caused by distracted driving.
