Sandy L. (Brown) Custer, 26, loving wife of Jeremy Custer and their infant son, Aiden Edward Custer, both passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, NY.

Sandy was born in Norwich, NY on May 2, 1983, a daughter of Ronnie Brown and Cinda Shore Hardy. From the age of 12, she was raised by her grandmother, Verna Brown, and her aunt, Cathy Tei. She was a graduate of SUNY Cortland where she received her bachelor's degree and for the past five years has been employed as a correction's officer for the Chenango County Sheriff's Department. On February 14, 2009, she married Jeremy Custer and together they were expecting their first child, Aiden.

In addition to her husband, Jeremy Custer, of Cincinnatus, she is survived by her parents, Ronnie Brown of Cincinnatus and Cinda Hardy of Wolcott. She also leaves behind her brothers, Michael (Regina) Shore of Seneca Falls and Robert (Laura) Brown of S. Otselic; a sister, Rose Bush of Wolcott; maternal grandmother, Donna Scudder of Oxford; mother-in-law, Marjorie Custer of Norwich; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Sandy and Aiden will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend James Hundley officiating. Burial will be in Pitcher Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Sandy and Aiden may be directed to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
