A woman found dead in a Concord park was identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office today as 31-year-old Javaughna Lynch.

Lynch's body was found by a passer-by near a walking path in Baldwin Park on Parkside Circle shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday, Concord police said.

She had suffered head trauma, said Lt. Jim Lardieri. The coroner's office is conducting an autopsy today to determine the cause of her death.

The investigation is in its early stages, Lardieri said.

According to her MySpace page, Lynch, the mother of a young boy, was from Oakland but had moved to Concord about six years ago to be near her mother and brother. Lynch had attended Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo.

She described herself on her Facebook page as a "down-to-earth person and kind and lovable, caring, cool."
