Trampus Phillip Odom, 25, was found dead just before midnight Saturday at his home at 1185 Windham Town Road, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said.

Investigators said the motive of the crime was robbery.

The mechanism used in Odom's death hasn't been released because it is a key part of the deputies' investigation into the crime, Hardee said Wednesday.

Hardee's office, Darlington County Sheriff's deputies and State Law Enforcement Division Agents continue to investigate the case.
