A drive by shooting near Chiloquin Thursday night has left one teen dead and police on the hunt for the killer.

The Klamath County Sheriff's Office says that at approximately 10 p.m., more than six shots were fired at 3468 East Lake Street in the Oregon Shores Subdivision west of Chiloquin, near Agency Lake. Police arrived to find one of the shots had struck 18-year-old Allen Troy of Chiloquin in the chest, fatally injuring him.

Three other adults that were in the home at the time of the incident say Allen was visiting when the shooting occurred.

According to a Klamath County Sheriff's Office press release, several people of interest have been identified, and detectives are in contact with them.

"This is a major crime scene, multiagency approach is being used on it. We have several persons of interest we are in contact with, and interviewing, and we are looking into what the motive may have been," Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger said.

The Klamath County Major Crimes Team, made up of Oregon State Police, The Klamath County District Attorney's Office, The Klamath Falls City Police, Klamath Community Corrections and the Klamath County Sheriff's Office, is working the case.

Meanwhile, in what is believed to be an unrelated incident, a drive-by shooting also occurred at a home on Bly Mountain near Bonanza at approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday. Three men were home at the time of the shooting. At least two rounds penetrated the home, but no one was injured.
