A Germantown man was killed in a Thursday morning crash in Butler County.

Deputies said Douglas Lane, 30, was traveling east on Trenton-Franklin Road just after 2:30 a.m. when he failed to control the vehicle in a curve.

Deputies said Lane's pickup went through a guardrail, struck a utility pole support cable and traveled over a small embankment, causing the pickup to roll.

Lane was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

The crash remains under investigation.
