My little brother, he was only 27....

Vinny was sick for a few weeks, they just assumed he had a bad cold/flu. No one knew he had Pneumonia. He went into cardiac arrest while in the bathroom getting sick. His 14 yr old stepson found him No Heartbeat/ No pulse. He was up there ...alone for 15-20 minutes. We will never know exactly how long he was down & out for.

...At jeans hospital, they started with a procedure that is called Therapeutic hyperthermia. Therapeutic hypothermia is a medical treatment that lowers a patient's body temperature in order to help reduce the risk of the ischemic injury to tissue following a period of insufficient blood flow.[Periods of insufficient blood flow may be due to cardiac arrest. This is a cooling technician that is done for 12 hours then reversed to a warmer temperature.

Throughout the six day hospital stay there where tests being done. He was on life support thee entire time. His body still trying to fight the Pneumonia. The last test they did besides the neurologists exams was a test where they took him to nuclear medicine to inject him with a dye. This dye runs through a person body from head to toe. The test confirmed there was No blood flow to vinnys brain. Nothing flowing above the shoulders.

Vinny will be looking down & keeping his wife Nicole and Three children Jonathan, Hannah and Mia safe.
