The body of Adam Molai, a 23-year-old former Kent resident who drowned in a rafting accident nearly two months ago, was recovered Friday in Kings River in central California.

Kings County Deputy Coroner Tom Edmonds confirmed that the body found in the river Friday had been identified as Molai, who was stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore.

Molai, a 2005 Field High School graduate, had been missing since June 17 and presumed drowned during a trip with fellow U.S. Navy personnel.

Molai was reported missing in late June after he and his friends were swept over a weir by the strong Kings River current.
