Barb Farhoud (Gonzales) was born to Marty and Armando Gonzales in Syracuse, NY on February 4, 1972. From birth Barb was a fun loving and spirited child. She grew up in Liverpool, NY where she attended elementary school and later Cicero-North Syracuse High School. As a very talented violinist and excelling academic student she was a role model for her younger brother Tim.

Barb's interest in pharmacy was peaked when she worked a part time job at Fay's Drug Store while attending high school. After graduating from high school she went on to attend the Albany College of Pharmacy. She was a member of the Rho Pi Phi Fraternity and soccer team before earning her degree as a pharmacist. Her love for the southwest, in particular Arizona, had been fostered after several trips years earlier during high school to visit her childhood friend Michele in Tuscon. Soon after graduating college she relocated to Gilbert, AZ where she began a successful career as a pharmacist. Years after, her brother, sister-in law and parents would later follow her westward travels and relocate in the Phoenix area as well. After her move, she married AJ Farhoud, her longtime boyfriend from college. She was divorced some years later after having two beautiful daughters Aliyah and Alyssa. A dedicated and loving mom, Barb greatly adored her girls and filled their lives with more happiness beyond imagination.

Barb spent the last years of her life battling Ovarian Cancer, all the while, being a devoted mother to her girls. A tenacious fighter, Barb often struggled with her disease without complaint. Barb's spirit and life are a testament to her strength. Her unyielding courage, perseverance, and passion for life made all who she encountered better for knowing her.

Barb will be greatly missed by all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy in all of the many lives she touched.
