Anita Leanne Bilyeu, born July 11, 1983, passed away June 24, 2009, 17 days short of her 26th birthday. She was born in Arkansas City, KS, and was raised in Ponca City, OK. She graduated in 2002 from Ponca City High School. Thereafter, she attended both the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma, receiving her BS degree in Funeral Science from UCO in 2008. She has been employed with Hahn Cook Funeral Home in Oklahoma City for the last three years. Anita loved animals, the ocean, decorating, painting, and swimming. She loved to share music and her beautiful spirit with her family and friends. Anita is survived by her mother, Rebecca Elizabeth Bilyeu (Ponca City); grandfather, Raymond J. Bilyeu (Arkansas City, KS); grandmother, Karen Lee and step-grandfather, Jimmy Lee (Ponca City); uncles: Mike Bilyeu and spouse Becky (Kansas City, MO); and Tim Bilyeu (Sacramento, CA); and aunt, Kathryn Bilyeu (Lee's Summit, MO); and five cousins. Her family, and extended family of great aunts and uncles, as well as her boyfriend, Jeff Wise, and their dogs, Daisy and Penelope (Oklahoma City), will miss her greatly. She was a worthy, authentic, passionate woman. A memorial service will be held at Trout Funeral Home, 505 W. Grand, in Ponca City on July 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The family and friends will share memories of Anita at this service, and request that anyone having any memories of Anita email them to
