A young woman shot to death early Sunday in front of a home has been identified as Christina Davila of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's website on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Davila died from a high-velocity gunshot wound to her neck, an autopsy report stated. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Seven other young people were injured in the shooting that occurred about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Frazier Avenue.

No one had been arrested as of late Monday, and police had not released a motive for the shooting.

A lone gunman, who was dressed in a hooded jacket and wearing dark clothes, walked up to the group that was gathered outside a home, and opened fire. He then ran from the scene.

Davila, the mother of two children, died at the scene, and the others were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neighbors said most of the group were young people under the age of 20 and a few had attended or were attending South Hills High School.

But police have told school officials that no one at the scene was a former or current student of the school.

In lieu of flowers, Davila's family members have requested that donations be made to the Johnathon and Isabella Molina Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank. The two are Davila's children.

Funeral service for Davila is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3717 Stadium Drive. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
