The funeral for the Leavenworth teen killed Thursday in a car accident is scheduled for next week.

Kylee N. Wilson, 16, was killed when her car overturned several times on U.S. 24-40 near Basehor, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Her funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Tonganoxie Christian Church. She will be buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Basehor, according to an obituary posted on the website for Quisenberry Funeral Home.

Wilson was a student at Tonganoxie High School where she was a member of the dance team and the school band.

The crash was reported at 2:48 p.m. Thursday east of 150th Street on U.S. 24-40.

Wilson had been driving west in a 2005 GMC Envoy. She and the driver of another westbound vehicle were driving recklessly, according to the KHP report.

Wilson lost control of her vehicle and overcorrected.

Her passenger, Haley L. Sparks, 15, Leavenworth, was taken to the hospital after the crash.
