Authorities in Sarasota County are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down a murder suspect.

A 22-year-old woman was among five people hit by gunfire at approximately 2:30 am Saturday near the intersection of 30th St. and Leon Ave.

Naomi M. Clyburn was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a Sarasota Police Department report the shots originated from a Chevrolet pick-up truck that was seen fleeing the north Sarasota neighborhood. Three of the other victims were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A fifth person was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton with serious injuries.

Witnesses told investigators the shooters were in a blue/green Chevrolet pick-up truck with custom wheels and dark, tinted windows.

A short time after the violence broke out SPD officers recovered a similar vehicle, abandoned on Cocoanut Ave. near Highland.
