Mary I. "Marnie" Harris, 46, of Janesville, received her wings and is now an Angel in paradise after winning a hard fought battle for eternal life, on September 16, 2011, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center, Fitchburg, WI. She was born in LaCrosse on January 15, 1965, the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Moore) McKeown. She graduated from Parker High School in 1983 and from the University of Stevens Point in 1988. She lived in Janesville all of her life. Marnie married Michael Harris on May 29, 1999, in Janesville. She worked for Dr. Mark Goelzer for 15 years and later for Dr. Gerzenshtein in Plastic Surgery at Mercy. She was a former member of New Life Assembly of God and was close to Pastor Michael Jackson and his wife, Marilyn. Marnie served as guest speaker in the summer of 2008 Relay for Life in Janesville. She has touched so many with her compassion and love. Her kindness for others was unconditional. She is survived by her husband, Michael; three sons: Jens Wohlbier of Madison, Ian Harris and Cole Harris, both of Janesville; her father, Vincent (Bonnie) McKeown of Janesville; a brother, Mark (Kandi) McKeown of St. John, MI; step-brother, David (Kim) Thobe of Janesville; step-sister, Sheila (Erv) Weber of Janesville; two nieces, Sarah Thobe and Sydney McKeown; a nephew, Kyle McKeown; very special friend, John Falk of Janesville; and people dear to her heart: Sarah Bonk, Richard Cullen, Betsy Sveinsson, and countless others. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Moore McKeown. A Mass of Christian Burial Sept. 21, 2011, at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Madison, with Msgr. Donn Heiar officiating.
