DC police are investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast.

Officials tell 9 NEWS NOW police responded to the 2700 block of Langston Place around 10:05 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of the sound of gun shots in the area.

When they arrived to the scene, they found 37-year-old Darnell Lucas, of Capitol Heights, Md., on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Right now police have no information on possible suspects or motive in the shooting.
