Funeral services for Nevel P. Anderson, 27, of Picayune, who passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Picayune will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bay Creek Cemetery, Purvis, Miss., under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. The Rev. Orean Spence and the Rev. James L. Gray will officiate at the service. A native of Nicholson, Miss., he was a CNA and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Joanne and Nevel Anderson; and Eva Hansen and Palle Hansen. Survivors include: his parents, David and Elaine Anderson of Nicholson; his sister, Marissa Brown and her husband Steven Brown of Picayune; one nephew, Reed Brown; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
