Police were called to investigate two possible shootings in the 800 block of Winter Street just before 9:30 Saturday night.

They found two victims:

18-year-old Dennis McDougles was lying on the ground on the west side of Winter Street with injuries to the abdomen.

And 20-year-old James A. Lewis was found in a home in the 900 block of Peabody Street with a gunshot wound to his upper left chest area.

Both men were taken to the hospital.

McDougles died at the hospital. Lewis is in stable condition.
