Randy Eugene Olmstead Jr., 29, of Mayfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 15. Born July 13, 1981, in Gloversville, he was the son of Randy and Jan Olmstead Sr. Randy attended Mayfield schools and was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville school. He loved to ride motorcycles, snow machines, etc. Randy Jr. was a strong young man who enjoyed hanging with his friends and family. He leaves behind two children: a son, Skyler Ronald Olmstead; and a daughter, Ashlyn Sky Costello. Survivors also include his parents, Randy and Jan Olmstead Sr.; two sisters, Gennessee Lamphear, Tasha Yudin (Roman); two brothers, Chad Warner and Zachary Sr. (Dana C.); six nephews, Justin Warner, Nikoli Yudin, Kyle Caparello, Zachary Olmstead Jr., Dmitri Yudin and Levi Olmstead; three nieces, Shiann Lamphear, Kayla Warner and Kiarra Olmstead. He leaves behind a very close friend, Jessica Leach, along with many many more close family, friends and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, at the Forresters Club in Gloversville. There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be in Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
