Tommy Allan Kittle, 19, of Sweet Valley, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, in Ross Township due to injuries he suffered in an automobile accident. Mr. Kittle was born June 6, 1990, and was a son of Judy Naugle Kittle, with whom he resided, and the late Allan L. Kittle. He graduated from Northwest Area High School in 2008 and was presently attending Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke. He was also employed, part time, at the Dollar General in Shavertown. An avid sportsman, Tommy enjoyed all types of sports. Beside his father, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Kittle. Surviving, in addition to his mother, Judy, are brothers Corey, Josh and Tyler, all at home; paternal grandmother Dolores Kittle, Sweet Valley; maternal grandparents Lloyd and Gloris Naugle; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Raymond D. Purdy Jr., pastor of the Living Word Baptist Church, Fairmount Township, officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
