Shirley L. French, 58, of Wagner St., Waterloo, passed away on Sunday (August 19, 2012) in Geneva General Hospital.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home 181 N. Main St., Geneva on Thursday (August 23) from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society .
Shirley was born in Clifton Springs and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was the daughter of Ethel Bailey DeCook and the late Raymond DeCook. She was employed at Garden Galleries for several years and also at Constellations Brands of Canandaigua. She was an avid bowler and loved to knit and quilt.
She is survived by her husband Arthur; her mother Ethel DeCook of Waterloo; her son Michael (Marjorie) Chilson of Penn Yan; her daughter Samantha (Roger) Smith of Seneca Falls; her step-daughter Kelly French of Seneca Falls; her brother Frank (Sherry) DeCook of Phelps; her sister Charlene Derleth of Geneva; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Kaye DeCook.
