AJ Quinly, 26, of Lahaina, HI departed this earth on 4 Aug 2011.
AJ (Alan Jeffrey) was born in Ridgecrest, CA on 20 Nov 1984 to Jeffrey Quinly and Tiffany Coleman (Burton). He graduated from Burroughs High School in 2003.
AJ was a gentle, creative, independent spirit who spent man years of his life venturing wherever his heart led him. He would often travel alone, but touched the hearts of many everywhere he went. He was a truly genuine person who was always there for those he loved. AJ was a talented artist and poured his heart into everything he created. He was also deeply thoughtful, always seeing and living life outside of the box. Although his life was brief, he lived an enormous amount and will be remembered by the people he touched.
AJ is survived by his parents Jeffrey Quinly of Ridgecrest and Tiffany Coleman of St. Petersburg, FL; grandparents Ken and Nancy Burton of Englewood, NM; grandmother Sandra Hickok of
Ridgecrest; sister Heather Quinly of St. Petersburg; sister and brother-in-law Kristin and Richard Wahl of Ridgecrest; nieces Rowan and Jaden; nephews Aaron and Mason; and many aunts, uncles and extended family. He is also survived by dozens of friends that he considered family and lovingly referred to as his "tribe".
