Lawrence William Cunningham, age 17, of Boone, died May 17, 2012.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clayton Lodge at Camp Hantesa, 1450 Oriole Road, south of Boone. Burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery.

Lawrence was born in Boone on March 30, 1995, the son of Christopher and Kimberly (Clark) Cunningham.

He attended grade school at Franklin School and was presently a junior at Boone High School.

Lawrence worked for a short time at the Boone Hy-Vee.

As a youth, he participated in Little League, Boy Scouts, and the Lego League.

Lawrence loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing.

He also enjoyed listening to music, drawing, watching movies, being on his computer, and being with family and friends and his two dogs Frosty and Melly Mae.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Chris, and grandparents, Chester and Diane Dickerhoof.

He is survived by his mother Kim Cunningham and her companion Rodney Foster of Ankeny; two brothers Kyle Cunningham and fiancée Ashley Vandarwarka of Boone and Brandon Cunningham of Ankeny; his stepfather Craig Rullestad of Boone; grandparents Eldon and Alberta Cunningham of Boone, Tina Mourlam and husband Dennis of Madrid, Mike Clark of Fort Dodge, Clayton Rullestad and Carol Burnett of Boone; great grandparents Joyce DeVoogd of Boone and Pearl Cunningham of Enid, Oklahoma; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
