Nashell Lauran Stary, 28, of El Campo, passed away on Oct. 12, 2012 following an extended illness. She was born on May 28, 1984 in Wharton and was a certified nurse's aid.
She is survived by her son, Colton Stary; mother, Donna Hacker; half-sister, Laura Kloesel; half-brother, Lonnie Hacker and grandmother, Lorine Stary, all of El Campo.

Her step-father, George Hacker and grandfather, Eugene Stary, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Clyde Grier officiating. Burial followed at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Glenn Stary, Kirk Stary, Colton Stary, Chase Stary, Lonnie Hacker, Jason Malek and Kelly Koenig.

Memorials may be made to the Colton Stary Scholarship Fund at First State Bank El Campo Branch, the Holy Cross Cemetery Gazebo Fund or Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
