Laken Alisse Palmer, left this world for her heavenly home in glory on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 while at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was born on September 17, 1992 in Blytheville. Laken was the daughter of Ashley Hundhausen and the late Michael Palmer. She was the oldest sister of Landon Hundhausen, Katelyn and Karsen Marchbanks. Her and her siblings were very close.
In 1993, Michael passed away and years later Ashley married Shawn Hundhausen. Laken attended school at Delta C-7, where she had many friends. She was a cheerleader, volleyball player and a member of the school band. After high school she attended Three Rivers Community College.
Laken lived a very full and active life. There was never a dull moment. She loved running around with her friends and spending quality time just talking with Katelyn. She enjoyed going to the First Christian Church in Dyersburg. Laken was preceded in death by her father, Michael Patrick Palmer, her grandparents, Dale and Christine Palmer, great grandfather, Curtis Eiceman and great Uncle, Donnie Eiceman.
She leaves the following to cherish her memory, her mother and step father, Ashley and Shawn Hundhausen of Hayti, her brother, Landyn Hundhausen of Hayti, her grandmother, Carole Scoggins and her husband Mike of Memphis, her grandfather, Max Wallace Jr. of Hayti, her great grandmothers, Dollie Eiceman of Collierville, Tenn. and Mary Still of Steele, Aunt Kristi McKay and her husband Steve of Hayti, Uncle Andy Wallace and his wife Jennifer of Hayti, Aunt Donna Wimberly and her husband Harold of Bragg City, Uncles, Scott Wyatt of Rutherford, Tenn., Shane Still and his wife Sheila of Gosnell, Ark., Gary Palmer and his wife Margie of Hayti, Monty Eiceman of Santa Monica, Calif., her special cousin, Sara Duckett, other cousins, relatives and many, many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crossroads Worship Center in Braggadocio with special cousin Rev. Jamie Grisham officiating. Burial was in the Dunklin County Memorial Gardens, Kennett. Pallbearers were Draike Barnett, Hunter Turner, Devan Ford, Nick Green, PJ Chandler, Weston Blankenship, Stephen Cunningham and Josh Rousell. Honorary pallbearers were Landon Hundhausen, Michael Grisham, Garrett Shackleford and Heath Babb.
