Stephen Lawrence Guthrie, 26, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 in West Helena, Arkansas. Stephen was born February 24, 1985 in Elaine, Arkansas to Howard Lawrence and Christine Milam Guthrie Hawkins. Stephen was an account executive with Payment Express Systems. He was a member of West Marks Baptist Church in Marks, Mississippi.
He is survived by his parents, Lawrence Guthrie (Heather) of West Helena and Christine Hawkins (Rickey) of Marks; fiancé, Heather Carris of Memphis; one son, Landon Lawrence Guthrie of Memphis; two sisters, Lawren Faye Guthrie of West Helena and Savanna Segerson of Iuka, Mississippi; two brothers, Hunter Hawkins of Marks and Zackary Dawson of West Helena; paternal grandfather, Howard Guthrie of West Helena and maternal grandparents, Jack and Pauline Milam of Mobile, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lillian Guthrie.
A memorial service for Stephen will be held by his family at 3 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 at the West Helena Baptist Church.
