Adrien Levi Hernandez, 14, was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on March 18, 1996 to Reuben and Stacy Hernandez. He passed away suddenly at his home in Greeley, CO. on Friday, June 4, 2010. Adrien was the youngest of five children, Larz Parker of Greeley CO., Cameron and Kailee Hernandez, and Cain Parker all of Casper, WY. He spent much of his early childhood in Casper, WY. Some of his favorite things early on were a stuffed monkey that he called Bubba, and Hot Wheels Cars. He always prided himself on his appearance and considered himself a fashion icon throughout his brief life. He attended Sagewood Elementary and was a wonderful runner and got many ribbons in all of his track events. He also played on two teams with the Casper Youth Baseball League. He spent two of his middle school years in Cheyenne, WY. where he attended McCormick Jr. High and was one of their Safe School Ambassadors. He was an amazing young man with many talents, and an unstoppable sense of humor. He was the light of our life. He last attended Maplewood Middle School in Greeley, CO. where he played cello in orchestra. He was an avid skateboarder and made many videos of his tricks and landings. He loved all types of music, and made hundreds of CD's to suit his moods. He loved to get people's attention and make them laugh. He was a great friend to all those lucky enough to have known him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents of Greeley CO, his brothers and sister, his Grandparents George and Elizabeth Hernandez of Alliance, NE; Karen Mead of Carson City NV; Great Grandmother Marge Reynick of Casper, WY; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his paternal Great Grandparents and maternal Great Grandfather.
A one day wake will take place on Wednesday, June 9, at the Indian Mission-Church of God in Alliance Nebraska, with the funeral to follow on Thursday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. Contributions to the family may be made to the Adrien Hernandez Fund at Bank of the West.
