Hunter D. True, 17 of 1612 N. Federal, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City.

Funeral Services for Hunter will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 27, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams. Officiating will be the Rev. Father Michael Schueller.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday with a special time for his class mates from 3-4:30. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Classmates are invited to arrive at 10 a.m. so that they may be seated as a group.

Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.Fullertonfh.com.

Hunter Del True was born the oldest child of Michael and Hilary True-Carpenter at Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Joining him were his two sisters and one brother.

He was in his Junior Year at Mason City High School. During his years he excelled in athletics and participated in Track, Cross Country and played line backer and tight end for the football team. He looked forward to morning weight lifting and was especially versed in Spanish and Anatomy and Physiology in academics. One of his goals in life was to become a physical trainer.

Hunter had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room. His sisters and brother looked up to him and he always had time to play ball or other games and just spend time with them like a big brother should.
In the summer he loved to go to the cabin at Elysian, Minn. where the family would bike, fish, ride the pontoon boat and tube behind it. Many nights of memories were made around the campfire. His favorite sports teams were the Green Bay Packers, a family favorite, and the New York Yankees. Even though his life was short he lived it for all it was worth.

Surviving Hunter are his mother and father Michael and Hilary Carpenter, sisters Autumn and Peyton and brother Ty all at home; his maternal grandparents Dennis and Lisa True, paternal grandparents Robert and Debra Tuttle, maternal great grandparents Jim and Lyla Ward all of Mason City, and his aunt and uncle Haley and Aaron True.
His paternal great grandparents preceded Hunter in death.
