It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leslie as a result of complications from surgery. He was just 27. Leslie was born and raised in Calgary. He leaves behind his dad Ralph (Linda), his sisters Angela, Melissa, Dana (Erik) and Cari (Mike) and his Grandma Amy (Ray), Grandma Doreen, and Grandpa Gordon, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. His mother Jean predeceased Leslie in 1993. Leslie was an incredible young man. After finishing high school Leslie undertook many vocations. His kidneys failed in 2003 but that only slowed him down a little. In 2005, his sister Angela donated a kidney and Leslie left behind dialysis for a period of time. Unfortunately, his new kidney did not hold on and it was back to dialysis. Leslie, being the strong individual that he was, was undaunted by this setback. Getting on with his life, he went to work with his best friend Mitchell Giberson (Michelle). Mitchell was not only Leslie's friend, he was his brother. They worked for Giberson's heavy equipment company, RND Excavating. Rod, Debra, and Kayla Giberson were not only Leslie's employers, they were his extended family and loved him like a son and brother. Leslie's future was bright indeed and he often talked about what great opportunities were being offered him. Leslie had many friends. They all shared a common interest - they were Motorheads. If they were not tearing apart some vehicle, they were talking about it. Leslie was just like his father in that he loved to work on cars. And, like his Grandpa Les, young Leslie was a visionary, always planning what his next project would be. On Monday, March 25, 2013, 11:00 a.m., a celebration of Leslie's life will take place at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 20 Banister Gate, Okotoks.
