A Bridgewater man died Thursday when his vehicle struck a semi, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Jeffrey Ryan Robocker, 38, died when the 2008 KIA Sedona he was driving eastbound on Highway 42 struck the trailer of a semi.

Joshua Dean Steffensen, 35 and of Hetland, was driving the semi and was not injured. According to authorities, Steffensen had stopped at a stop sign and then pulled onto the highway to turn west when Robocker's vehicle struck the trailer.

The accident occurred about 10 miles easy of the Highway 81 junction.

Robocker was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
