Nicole Suzanne Brown, 21, died Saturday, January 26, 2013. A lifelong Greenbelt resident, most recently of Boxwood Village, she played baseball and softball in the Greenbelt Little League (with the Giants) and in high school. She attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Class of 2009) pursuing her passion in art and illustration and subsequently at the Art Institute of Washington, where she completed a program in graphic design and visual arts.

She began work as a graphic designer at Good360, a charitable nonprofit in Alexandria, Va.

She was an avid baker and crafter, entering her artwork and pastries, etc. in craft fairs,
4-H fairs and as original gifts to friends and family. She will always be remembered for her
kindness, creativity and thoughtfulness.

Her passing leaves her mother, Ginger M. Brown, also of Boxwood Village, and her father,
Charles L. Brown, most recently a resident of Berwyn Heights, her family from Greenbelt and elsewhere in Maryland – the Browns and the McKinneys – as well as friends and classmates from high school and the Art Institute.

A viewing was held on Tuesday, January 29. Her memory can be honored with donations to
Greenbelt Animal Shelter.
