Charles Russell "Rusty" Wills, of Lakeland, FL, went to be with the Lord on September 19th, 2012 as a result of a Humvee accident at Fort Bragg, NC.

Born in Lakeland, FL, on Dec. 14th, 1991, to Charles and Charlotte Wills, Charles was a giving and wonderful person who always put others ahead of himself. He was a Private, 1st class in the U.S. Army.

He attended Blake Academy from kindergarten through 8th grade. During high school, he attended Summerlin Military Academy in Bartow, FL, where he excelled in both classwork, and field work. Charles entered the Army on July 25th, 2011. He completed basic training at Fort Sill, OK, and AIT at Fort Meade, MD. He was then assigned to Headquarters Support Company, 3rd Military Information Support Battalion (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.

Charles was loved and admired by all who ever had the chance to know him. He was selfless, loving, and lived by a moral and ethical code that most can only aspire to. He was truly an angel sent to walk among us, if only for a tragically short time.

Charles is survived by his uncle Mike; his father, Charles; his mother, Charlotte; and his sister, Tabitha.

Rusty's family will receive friends Friday 9 to 11 AM with funeral services to follow at 11 AM in the chapel of Lakeland Funeral Home.

Interment will follow with military honors at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
