Rachel Marie (Dunning) Anderson, 28, lost her life in an automobile accident in Queensland, Australia on January 29, 2013. She was born in Vancouver, Washington on May 6, 1984 to Rick and Karen Dunning.

She is survived by her husband Joel, her parents, her older brothers Kale (Kelly; Reese, Asher, and Miles) and Keegan (Jennifer Molitor). Rachel was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Arlene Dunning.

Rachel graduated from Battle Ground High School in 2002, and attended WSU Pullman, where she had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia. She met her beloved husband, Joel Anderson, her first day there in 2004. She earned her degree in business from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, AU, received her Australian citizenship and they were married in Australia on December 11, 2010. Rachel and Joel had recently started a new business, Anderson Financial Group.

Rachel was passionate about health, cooking, and gardening. She loved getting in her morning runs with her new puppy. But more than anything else, she loved her family, both in America and Australia.

Although Rachel was tragically taken from us, the love she brought to everyone who crossed her path will never be forgotten. Today she is whole and healed in Heaven where she continues to love us all.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Battle Ground Baptist Church located at 1110 NW 6th Ave, Battle Ground, WA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rachel's name to Landmark Church in Battle Ground or to North County Food Bank.
