Amber Leilani Green, 17, of Thompsonville, died unexpectedly in an automobile accident, Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Benzie County. She was born May 3, 1993, in Orlando, Florida, the daughter of Kevin Green and Doris Childs.
Amber was currently a junior at Benzie Central High School where she enjoyed being with her friends and listening to music. Those that knew Amber knew she loved all animals, except for birds, chipmunks and squirrels. Amber always looked forward to Cousin's Day at her grandparents, which was followed up with Doughnut Sunday. Amber loved being with her family, and especially enjoyed traveling with her grandparents.

Amber is survived by: her father and step-mother, Kevin and Colleen Green of Thompsonville; her mother, Doris Childs of Polk City, Florida; her brothers and sisters, William, Amy, Josiah, Sarah, Brittany, Cheyenne Rain and Matthew; her paternal grandparents, Richard and Jane Green of Traverse City; her maternal grandfather, Tim Childs of Maine; her maternal grandmother, Bonnie Childs of Florida; her niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah. Interment will follow in the Thompsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, from 5-8 PM, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benzie County Animal Shelter.
