A Knoxville teenager was killed and another injured in a two-car accident on Steele Road near Valley View Landing Lane Aug. 7.

According to a Knox County Sheriff's Office report, Scott Impellzeri, 18, was killed when his vehicle crashed head on with another vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Joshua Randles, also of Knoxville.

Randles was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. His condition was not known.

Both Impellzeri and Randles were wearing seatbelts, and a high rate of speed may have been a factor, officers said. They do not believe alcohol was involved.

According to Impellizeri's Facebook page, he was originally from Los Angeles. He was a recent graduate of Hardin Valley Academy, and was a member of the school's wrestling team.
