Lona Williams Ford, 56, of Fort Worth died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, of a massive stroke. Celebration of life: Will start at noon Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Fords' home, 3209 Durango Road, Fort Worth. Cremation arrangements were handled by Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury. Memorials: Please do not send flowers. If you feel the need to give, donations may be made to The Cancer Research Institute, Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics or Tarrant Area Food Bank. Lona was born in Fort Collins, Colo., on March 6, 1957, to James and Anna Williams. She married Charles Ford on April 13, 1996. Lona was a software analyst and successful business owner, and later in life was a full-time homemaker. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Tarrant County Medical Reserve Corps. Survivors: Her husband of 17 years, Charles Ford; stepchildren, Richard Ford of Austin and Andrew Ford of Fort Worth; sister, Dena Sims of Granbury; nephew, Ellery Randle of Waxahachie. -
