Bo Dylan Sturgell, 21, of Ashville, has been identified by the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office as the victim of a one-vehicle fatal crash early Sunday morning in Walnut Township.

According to Sheriff Robert Radcliff, Sturgell was traveling southbound on Lockbourne Eastern Road about 4:49 a.m. Sunday when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve and drove his pickup truck into a field just south of Campbell Road at 17038 Lockbourne Eastern.

The vehicle traveled through the field, striking a tree on the property, and it was on fire when a passerby spotted the crash and called the Sheriff's Office, Radcliff said.

Harrison Township firefighters extinguished the blaze and discovered the body inside. Sturgell was declared dead at the scene by Dr. John Ellis, Pickaway County Coroner.

The crash remains under investigation.
