Arin was born on Thanksgiving Day, 1994, in Gainesville, Florida. He was born to a beautiful and loving birth mother who chose Mike and Leslie to raise Arin. Megan remained in his life always, a loving mother and friend whom Arin adored. Arin also had the good fortune of having two older sisters, Jaime and Jennica Miller who doted on him. Jennica was not only a sister but his best friend as he grew older.
Arin lived in Gainesville with his Mother and Father, Leslie and Mike Miller, until he was 5,
where he loved to play in the woods behind his house, and spend time with his many friends. He
was adored and the center of Leslie and Mike's life. Arin was a very happy and outgoing child.
He made everyone smile and laugh from a young age. He loved his nanny, Galina, and her
children Lidia and Danny, who were like a brother and sister to him not only the first 18 monthsof his life but for his whole life.
At 18 months old Arin moved to Malaysia with his parents for 9 months, where he enjoyed the
monkeys and monitor lizards that lived just outside of their home, and where race was irrelevant.
Arin learned to speak Malay just as he was speaking English. Arin also visited Thailand,
Switzerland, Japan, Egypt and other countries at a young age. He especially loved Egypt.
The family moved to Venice, Florida at age 5 to be closer to Arin's Grandmother Grace, whom
he cherished. He loved to fish at Grandma's pond and play jokes on Grandma. He also loved to fish at his neighbor, Samir's, dock. Arin loved to ride his bike all over Venice and play with his friends. From a very early age, he was non-stop action and very independent. Arin also loved girls and had girlfriends by the age of 12. He was passionate about everything he loved, including his girlfriends. He easily made friends with everyone, regardless of color, beliefs or religion.
Arin loved music and dancing. He listened to all kinds of music but loved hip hop and rap. Arin loved to go to a local teen club to dance and compete in dance competitions. He usually won.
As he got older, Arin wrote songs and rapped constantly. He had an amazing sense of music and rhythm and shared deep emotions in his rap. Arin was very athletic, playing soccer, basketball, track and his first love, football. His first year in football he was quarterback, making up plays and winning games as if he had played all his life. During high school Arin played defensive
positions. While a gentle soul, he was very strong and focused on the football field. In track, Arin was excellent at the triple jump, long jump and 400.
In 9th grade Arin moved to San Diego to live with his mother and attended Torrey Pines High
School. He was loved by so many kids, especially girls, for his exuberant personality and sweetness. He had several close friends, the few other black and mixed race boys in the school, and some wonderful friends from the track team. He attended a leadership camp at the Army
Navy Academy in San Diego, where he was proud to advance in rank and serve as a leader for
the other kids.
In January, 2012, Arin moved to Santa Clara, Utah to be with his father, stepmother and sisters.
He was very happy to be near family and loved spending time with his father. He was excelling
