Donald E. Miller, III, 23, passed away June 24, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born January 3, 1990, in Des Moines, the son of Donald and Rhonda Miller.

DJ was funny, loved to laugh and was very outgoing. He enjoyed watching Smallville and was a hard worker. DJ was a great daddy, fiancé, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

DJ left behind the love of his life, Tara Mills; daughter, Tori Miller; and son, Austin Risdal; little brother, Alex Miller; mom and step-dad, Rhonda and Mike Scott; father, Donald Miller, II; half-brother, Rusty Stark; half-sister, Stephanie Miller; grandparents, Alan and Vicki Johannsen and Rick and Nancy Walker; mother-in-law, Marsha Briggs; brothers-in-law, Tanner Mills and Trent Mills; and many other friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Justin Michael Miller.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, at Hamilton's Mitchellville Funeral Home, 303 Center Street.
