Mr. Rex E. Agness, Jr., 23, of McCordsville and formerly of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Indianapolis.
Mr. Agness Jr. was born in Abilene, Texas, on March 2, 1985. He was the son of Rex E. Agness, Sr. and Rosa L. (Loya) Agness.
Rex moved to Indiana in 1988 and he graduated from Lebanon High School in 2004. After graduation, he joined the Indiana National Guard and volunteered to serve a tour of duty in Iraq. He currently is a student at IUPUI and involved with the ROTC program.
He was married in Lebanon on March 2, 2008, to Kimberly (Dunbar) Agness. Mrs. Agness survives.
Rex enjoyed his family, friends and beloved dog, Gizmo Agness. He was a car and fitness enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Agness of Indianapolis; his parents, Rex E. Agness, Sr. and Rosa L. Agness of Lebanon; a grandmother, Laura Gaskill and husband, George, of Greentown; a grandfather, Eugene B. Agness and wife, Fern of Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Lori B. Agness and fiancée, Doug Bennett of McCordsville; an uncle, Roger Agness of Orlando, Fla., and several cousins, including Dallas S. Rodriguez of Lebanon.
Grandparents Betty and Abraham Loya, are deceased.
Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, with Pastor Dean DeVries officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.
Interment with military rites will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
