A man killed in a rollover crash on Highway 118 was identified Saturday as a 26-year-old Simi Valley resident, officials said.

Kyle Webb was killed in the crash, which occurred about 7:10 a.m. Friday on the westbound off-ramp at Kuehner Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Webb was driving west on the highway at a high speed when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle left the road and rolled down a dirt embankment, the patrol said. Webb was declared dead at the scene.

Initial reports had said a woman was killed in the crash, but the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Saturday morning the victim was a man.

An autopsy to determine the cause of death was scheduled for Monday, said Michael Tellez, a deputy Ventura County medical examiner.
