Services for Leslie Renee Billings, 18, a student, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2013, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Macklin officiating assisted by Pastor Ed Dittfurth. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at First Baptist Church.
Leslie was born in Stephenville, Texas, on May 30, 1995, to Brent and Lisa Renee (Tiner) Billings. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Leslie received numerous awards during her time at Stephenville High school. These awards include, Softball Academic All District 2010, 2011 and 2012, 2nd Team All District Softball 2010, 1st Team All District Softball 2011 and 2012,Softball Co-Offensive MVP 2011, Softball Defensive MVP 2011 and 2012, Basketball Academic All District 2010 and 2011, 1st Team All District Basketball 2012, Basketball Defensive MVP 2012, Leader of Assist 2012, Leader of Rebounds 2011 and 2012, SHS Academic All District Volleyball 2011, 2nd Team All District Volleyball 2012, Academic All State in Volleyball 2012, and Rotary Club Student of the Month. She was also a member of the FCA All-Star Basketball Team, National Honor Society and Student Council.
Survivors include her parents, Brent & Lisa Billings of Stephenville; her brother, Ross Billings of Stephenville; maternal grandmother, Janice Tiner of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; maternal grandfather, Gene Tiner and wife, Brenda, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; paternal grandfather, W. M. Billings and wife, Brenda, of Rison, Arkansas; paternal grandparents, Carole and Frank DiBartolo of Acton; her great-aunt, Brenda Costa and husband, Phil, of Houston; great-aunt, Diane Wallace of Acton; aunt, Tracey Billings of Granbury; aunt Monica Tucker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; aunt, Gena McFadden and husband, Scott, of Conway, Arkansas; uncle, Dennis Wallace of Granbury; uncle, Henry Tucker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; numerous cousins, family, coaches, teammates and friends; and the family pets, Lucy, Maggie & Nelly.
